FOTD: soft Gothic

Hello lovelies,

Hope you all enjoyed your weekend, It was a fun filled weekend for me at the 4th Lagos makeup fair. I just cant believe I left my camera at home so I won't be able to share some of the excitement with you.... But not to worry I promise to be more prepared next time.

So about today's post, it's all about the Lips yea dark lips lol... Will definitely do a review in my next post. So just enjoy pictures of me having fun.....

For my eyebrows I used MABROOK eyebrow pencil and JORDANA brow pencil in chocolate.
Hiblighted with MILANI concealer is 02

On my eyes, I primed using TARA's eyeshadow primer then applied a gold eyeshadow color from my GLAZZI eyeshadow palette. On the outer corner of my eyes, I used TARA trio eyeshadow in Imen with a soft pink colour from BH cosmetics neutral palette in my crease and blended all colours. I lined using ZARON gel liner in Jazz, on on my waterline I used MAYBELLINE colossal kajal. Then finished with my favorite Mascara MARYKAY Ultimate mascara

For my face, I started out with MEHRON antishine as oil control, then I used BLACK OPAL concealing foundation in Hazelnut and MARYKAY matte foundation Bronze 5. I highlighted my under-eye with LA GIRL pro HD concealer in Fawn then set with BEN NYE powder in banana. face powder MAC NW45 and MAYBELLINE age rewind powder. For the contour I used a dark eyeshadow from the BH neutral palette and MAYBELLINE powder in Cacao. Bronzer is BLACK RADIANCE

And the Lips I moisturized using a lip balm then applied FOREVER 52 long lasting lip gloss on my entire lips. (review coming soon).

I hope you enjoyed the pictures and like the lips as much as I do. You can share pictures of some gothic look or lips you have also created.

Bride Opemipo

Hello everyone, hope you all are doing great.

Today I will be sharing pictures from Opemipo's Engagement and church ceremony. Opemipo is a sister to me, she's such a unique person and I'm so proud of her. I remembered she was one of the models I worked on after my makeup training. Woow.... how times flies from model now to a beautiful bride..lol

Her engagement ceremony held in April while the church held in May. On both days, Opemipo had everything under control, she just said ''please make me look like myself '' and yes... we did just that. God bless your home dear and thanks for choosing  TobiBhanks.
Happy viewing!!!

Both event was beautifully planned and coordinated by Lush weddings. I worked with amazing vendors and I must give it up for Mr Kunle of Klala photography thanks for the beautiful pictures.

Till my next post,
Stay beautiful....

Product Review: Real technique brush

Hi Beauties,

Hope you all are having a great day. Today's review is on this set of brush I got a while ago on Amazon, I have been using it for almost a year now and it just occurred to me I didn't review it.
So here it comes, Real Technique Core collection Brush set

These brushes from Samantha Chapman includes a four full sized brushes and a beautiful case, I'm so in love with the packaging. Its quality is amazing for a $13.85 set.Though each brush has its specific use, I can tell you they are multipurpose which makes this set wonderful. Its bristles are soft and does not consume much products, blending excellently well to achieve a flawless look.

From this picture, the first from top is the Contour brush, next is the Foundation, the detailer brush and the buffing brush.

The Contour Brush
This brush is round and pointed at the tip perfect for contouring. I use as a contour brush, blush brush and sometimes to set powder under the eyes.

The Pointed foundation Brush
This brush for me is rather too small for a  foundation brush. but It can be used to apply liquid foundation on those hard to reach areas of the face. However, I use mostly as a concealer brush to cover dark circles under the eye.

The Detailer brush
this is also a good brush though meant as a concealer brush, but too small compared to other concealer brushes. I use to highlight the inner corner of the eyes, and also as a lip brush.

The Buffing BrushThis is my favorite from the collection. I love how it blends makeup giving a flawless finish. It can be used with Liquid foundation and powder products.

My Overall thought

Packaging very attractive.
Very affordable.
Soft synthetic bristles.
Bristles don't shed and drys out quickly after wash
The brushes are versatile as can be used in many different ways.

I would highly recommend this set. Anyone tried it please share your thoughts

Till my next post, Stay beautiful....

Oge's Makeover

Hi Beauties,

Its an historic day in my Country Nigeria today, as Nigerian decides who rules her for the next four years. I pray that the elections go well, peace in every state and poll center and that this elections will bring about a new season of progress in our dear county. Lets go out to exercise our right even though I won't be doing that today because my PVC ( Permanent Voters Card) is no where to be found, *sad* but no worries I decided to update my blog... *smiles*. GOD BLESS NIGERIA.

Oge walked into the studio with her sister to purchase some products, while she was shopping, It occurred to me to offer her a makeover after her purchase, trust me, most ladies would jump at such opportunity and so did Oge.  We fixed a day and here's Oge
enjoy pictures below....

I'm so in love with her final look, the colors worked well on her skin giving a glow to her beautiful dark skin. From the final look, I think Oge can pass for an Hausa lady, but from her name its obvious she's not though, I later confirm she grew up in Sokoto,  so she's got the Hausa gene or beauty in her.....lol.
