Product review: Milk of Magnesia

Hi beauties,
Happy  new week. The weekend was much fun for me, first was my mum in- laws birthday, had a great time with all family members together and on Sunday, I was at the 3rd Lagos makeup fair. Details of the event would be up soon.

This post is on Milk of Magnesia (MoM) which is actually meant for the relieve of occasional constipation.

When I first heard it could be used as a face primer, I actually thought it was crazy because its nothing close to a skin care product so, I never bothered about it. but recently, I saw a colleague using it so I decided to check it online and I was so surprised to see several reviews on it. I finally got myself a bottle and the result has been good.

How I use my MOM
First I apply my daily moisturiser 'Ori' Shea butter.
I shake the bottle well and pour out a little quantity of the MoM into the plastic cup that comes with it. Then, with my hand I apply on my face and leave to dry before applying concealer or foundation. I noticed that areas with much MoM will look white or chalky after drying, so I just blend, blend and blend till it evens out.

Whoever came up with this discovery did well (my opinion), because using this product has helped reduced shine on my face though, sometimes I still get to touch up once.

MoM is available at most drug stores it has several flavour and different brands- Walmart and Phillip brand.
Would I purchase again? Sure, I will

Tried it yet? would like to know what you think.

The 5th Makeup Connect Series- pictures

Hi everyone,

I was at the 5th makeup connect series on Sunday, which happened to be the first I attended. somehow I get to see or hear about it after the event. So glad I heard about it early enough this time.

The event had loads of beautiful makeup artists in attendance, male and female from Lagos, Abuja, Benin. Also in attendance were representatives of some cosmetic brands ATILA, GLAM'S makeup, LINDOIRS, FABLUX Wigs Atlanta and our own Kuddy cosmetics. They all told us about their products and promised to be at the next makeup fair where most of these products would be exhibited.

Jide of st.ola and Osamu of beauty maters talked about building healthy relationships among ourselves as makeup artists and also to improve the quality our works to compete globally.
I had a nice time meeting with other colleagues in the industry, thanks to the organizers @Pops concepts and thanks for the goody bag.
Review coming up in later post. Enjoy....

Review: Tint Ruby ruby

Hi beauties,
Happy new month y'all hope the month started out great for us all.
Today's post is a product review. I went shopping few weeks ago and came across this lipstick, heard its a matte red so I decided to try it out though I left the shop without buying it because my MAC ruby woo does a great job, I had a rethink after a friend met me same day at Ikeja and asked what lipstick I'm wearing? I quickly looked into my mirror because I had complely forgotten what lipstick I had on. Ok... I finally got it and here's what I think.

Description:
This is a product of Tint cosmetics, a manufacturer of high quality, premium grade color cosmetics and skin care essentials. It's matte red and easy to apply.

Packaging:

Tint ruby ruby comes in black tube,
It has a color coded sticker below with the name shade on it for easy identification.

Formula:
The Tint Ruby ruby is a matte red lipstick. it glides on smoothly on the lips. it does not accentuate dryness especially if you have dry lips. The color is very rich and it will suit most complexions. It also has a good staying power.

Price:  2500.

Overall, I love this lipstick, its of a great formula and has a pleasant smell to me. it can pass as a dupe for Mac ruby woo, in fact that's the reason I bought it and i'm impressed. So, if you want a matte red lipstick that's more pocket friendly, you can get Tint ruby ruby.

Till my next post,
Stay beautiful...
