Hi Beauties,

Hope you all are doing great. its been a busy month can't believe its half of the month already. There's been so much going on in the beauty industry these past weeks, and  personally have been up to alot of things which i would let you know about soon.

Last week. the Beauty Africa Exhibition & Conference held for 3 days, It was organized by the Africa's largest exhibition organisers- Informa Life Sciences exhibition which has already established many successful events in the beauty industry. This event showcased different products, information and services related to beauty and cosmetics sector. so many beauty vendors like Zaron Makeup, Khuraira cosmetics, beauty kink, ladystar international, karafi hair, design esentials, were present.
I could only attend on the first day and for me it was so amazing. the planning, organization, speakers were all impressive. this is not an event to be missed at all, so glad I could attend.

Speakers at the conference include Tara Fela-Durotoye, Lola Maja, Erica Freemantyle, Fatima Mamza, Oke Maduewesi, Funmi Odegbami. Although i took some pictures, I decided to listen more to the speakers so I could learn more. Below are some of the points of each speakers i caught.

Mrs Tara Fela durotoye of House of Tara she shared on building an African brand. She said as a brand, you should be recognizable, describable and desirable. -embrace your own style, it makes you special. she also emphasized the importance of building a world class brand and still being true to who we are as Nigerians and Africans. Excellence should never be compromised- as a makeup artist, the quality of your job should speak excellence. Also, Passion and commitment is very important to the building a your business.

Okey Maduewesi CEO Zaron cosmetics blew my mind after sharing her story. She's indeed a role model after losing her husband in 2006 she said she didn't want to be one of those widows to be pitied and that she was going to make her late husband proud.... wow...I celebrate this African woman. I admire her strength and courage. She said she built the ZARON brand from nothing. She spoke on the power the mind- greatness, success all begins in the mind, you have to believe in yourself, believe you can do it, believe you are more than this, you can achieve much more.I was indeed challenged and inspired. God bless her more and increase her greatness.

Funmi Odegbami CEO MINK a london based makeup school shared on focusing on opportunities in other beauty industry like film, TV, fashion, theatre etc.

Khuraira Musa of Khuraira cosmetics spoke on being passionate about what you do.

Lola Maja of Sacred beauty also shared on passion, giving your job the best, love what you do, be open minded and always willing to learn.

Fatima Mamza of Mamza beauty did a live demo of highlighting and contouring.

Enough said.... enjoy the rest in pictures.
