Hi beauties,
Its another Valentine's day, sure you are all painting
the town Red *winks*. Valentine to many, is a day to show affection for another by sending cards, flowers or
chocolates with messages of love but there's a whole history about Val's
day which you may have never thought about.
History has it that the
day gets it name from a famous Saint, but there are several stories of
who he was. The popular belief about St. Valentine is that he was a
priest from Rome in the 3rd century and at that time ruled by Emperor
Claudius II who banned marriage because he thought married men were bad
Soldiers. Valentine felt this was unfair so he broke the rules and
arranged marriages in secret. When Claudius found out, Valentine was
thrown in jail and sentenced to death. There he fell in love with the
jailers daughter and when he was to be killed on Feb. 14, he sent her a
love letter signed, from your "Valentine".
Hmmnn.... enough of the
story :) the point is whatever your reasons are for celebrating or not
celebrating (because I know some people don't believe in Valentine),
life is about loving and been loved back in return. So, show some love
today and always, reach out, give, share (remember there's love in
sharing), lend a helping hand, put a smile on someone's face, forgive
that person who hurts you bad, let it go, and lets LOVE all the way.
Happy Valentines day
